“Newseum Nights: In Bloom,” hosted at the Newseum in partnership with the National Cherry Blossom Festival, will immerse you in an evening of Japanese sights, sounds and tastes.

 

National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade
April 14 @ Constitution Avenue
One of DC’s largest spectator events, the energy-filled National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade® presented by Events DC runs for 10 blocks along iconic Constitution Avenue. Giant colorful helium balloons, elaborate floats, marching bands from across the country, celebrity entertainers, and performers burst down the Parade route in a grand spectacle of music and showmanship seen only once a year during the Festival. From the National Archives to the Washington Monument, spectators are wow-ed by the pageantry and excitement that is the nation’s premier springtime parade.

 

Sakura Dream Immersive Digital Art Experience
March 15 - May 6 @ Artechouse
Step into the Sakura Dream (Sakura no Yume), a moonlit floating environment where larger than life koi fish and colorful cherry blossom petals react to your presence. Take the time to contemplate the beautiful ephemeral nature of life and explore Japanese culture and tradition – at the intersection of art and technology.

 

Cocktails in the Cherry Blossom Garden Globes
March 15 - May 6 @ The Watergate Hotel
These 12-foot domes can seat parties from 2 to 8 people and are only open in March & April! Enjoy Afternoon Tea or special Cherry Blossom infused cocktails and menu items. Afternoon Tea is available Saturday & Sunday from 2-4pm for parties of 4 or less.
